Installing Your Glass Doors

Doors arrive ready to hang: hinge holes drilled on the side you chose and the handle mounted. Most doors are installed in under 15 minutes each.

Before you start

Inspect on pickup or delivery. Check each piece for chips, scratches or frame damage before accepting it — see our policies.
Confirm each door's size and hinge side against your order. Leave protective film on until the door is hung.
Tools: drill/driver, Phillips bit, tape measure, pencil, small level. If you ordered hinges, they are included with the door.
Glass is heavy and edges can be sharp — wear gloves and work with a second person on large doors.

Hanging an aluminum frame door (concealed hinges)

Fit the hinges to the door. Seat each hinge in its pre-drilled position on the frame and tighten the fixing screws. The hinge arm should sit flush and square to the frame.
Locate the mounting plates on the cabinet. Measure from the top of the door to the center of each hinge, then transfer those marks to the inside of the cabinet side, allowing for the door's overlay at the top (so the door lands where you want it). Mark the plate positions with a pencil.
Screw the mounting plates to the cabinet side at your marks. Pilot-drill in hardwood or particleboard to avoid splitting.
Clip the door on. Hook the hinge arms onto the plates and press until they click. Hold the door while you do this.
Adjust in three directions. Concealed hinges have screws for side-to-side (gap to the neighboring door), depth (how far the door sits from the cabinet face) and height. Adjust until the reveal is even all around and the door sits flat when closed.
Check the soft-close. Open the door and let it go from about 30° — it should glide shut without slamming. Peel off the protective film and clean.

Installing a pair of doors? Hang both, then adjust the gap between them last — an even 1/8" reveal is the goal.

Glass shelves and panels

Use shelf supports rated for glass (pins with rubber/plastic sleeves, or metal clips). Never rest glass directly on bare metal pegs.
Support every shelf at all four corners. For wide shelves or heavy loads, add a center support or step up to 3/8" glass.
Set the shelf down gently and centered — sliding it against a hard edge can chip the corner.

Safety notes

Tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled or trimmed after manufacturing. If a size is wrong, the piece must be remade — so double-check dimensions before ordering.

Never force a door that binds — adjust the hinges instead.
Do not drill into the glass. Any holes or notches must be specified before fabrication.
Keep frames and glass out of direct contact with concrete floors during installation.

Cleaning and care

Glass: ammonia-free glass cleaner or mild soap and water with a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and razor blades.
Aluminum frames: wipe with a damp soft cloth; dry immediately. No abrasive cleaners, solvents or steel wool — they dull the finish.
Reeded and frosted glass: clean along the flutes / with light pressure; a soft brush helps with dust in the grooves.
Mirror: spray the cloth, not the mirror, so liquid never runs behind the edge.
Once or twice a year, re-check hinge screws and re-adjust the doors if they have drifted.
